About us
We are a startup that applies Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to healthcare management. Our mission is to transform the way health resources are managed, better analyzing the data, to balance expenses, resources and results.
We make it easy to introduce AI to hospitals, and we do it as a team, with partners and pioneers.
Initially a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona. At Amalfi we have developed management solutions that have been tested and validated by Hospitals and Health Services.

Julianna Ribera
Medical Director - Co-founder
Medical Doctor and biologist with more than 25 years of experience in health management at different levels (hospital, primary care, planning, data analysis). She coordinates a team of experts in pharmacology, medicine, medical documentation, health economics and innovation in health.

Professor at the UPC with 20 years of experience in research and technology transfer in Machine Learning and artificial intelligence. He leads a team of data scientists and computer engineers.

Marti Zamora
CTO
Master's degree in computer engineering and Data Science. He has worked for more than six years in clinical data analysis. He leads the technical development of our products to guarantee quality, scalability and the use of cutting-edge technology.

Ton Rodríguez
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Master´s in computer engineering with considerable experience in network and systems security developed as head of cybersecurity at a UPC technology-transfer lab. Ton helps to ensure that Amalfi’s systems are secure, robust, and scalable while allowing for the continuous evolution of our products.

Jordi Roca
Chief Data Scientist
PhD in mathematics with experience in applications in bioinformatics and artificial intelligence. One of our data scientists with a research profile. He studies and develops predictive models to improve the reliability and robustness of our products.
Manel Aguilar
Software Engineer
Degree in computer engineering with experience in the analysis and development of products with large volumes of data. He is one of our software developers who is in charge of the technical aspects of the products, as well as studying possible improvements to them.

Double BSc in Mathematics and Physics, MSc in Physical Engineering with experience in the industry on the implementation of solutions based on data science and artificial intelligence, especially those applied to time series. As Amalfi Analytics Data Scientist, he is responsible for the implementation and improvement of our predictive models.

Business Development
Degree in European Languages from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Almost 30 years in Barcelona, Spain, in different sectors and in different company profiles, interpreting different concepts and communicating them to the client. Never try to sell something you don’t believe in 100%.
